The best SFA software for an FMCG field team in India is the one that keeps working when the signal drops in a Tier-3 market, prices every order with the same scheme the distributor will invoice, and hands that order to a GST invoice without anyone re-keying it. This guide compares nine sales force automation products sold to consumer-goods brands in India on the questions that decide whether reps actually use them: offline use, beat planning and geo-verified visits, schemes and claims, GST e-invoicing, ERP and DMS sync, and the pricing model.
We make one of the nine — xMatix — so read how the table was built first. If you want to see a product rather than compare a category, go to SFA software for FMCG →
How we built this comparison
Every fact about another vendor comes from that vendor's own website, read on 19 October 2026, and each source URL is recorded in this page's source code. No review sites, listicles or sales calls. Where a vendor's site does not say something, the table says not stated publicly — read that as "ask", not "missing". Facts about xMatix are limited to what our own product pages state. There are no scores and no winner; the right sales force automation software for your team depends on how your reps sell, who invoices the order, and what runs your books.
New to the category? What is SFA software? explains the loop from beat plan to reconciled order. This guide is for choosing between products.

Read this as a map, not a ranking. "Not stated publicly" means the vendor's website did not say it on 19 October 2026. In every product here except xMatix, GST e-invoicing is a feature of the vendor's DMS rather than the SFA app — which matters if you are buying the SFA alone.
The products, one by one
xMatix
Field sales on the same platform as distributor operations: beats generate visit plans over a rolling window and are sequenced on the road network, attendance is geofenced with gates evaluated on the server, and orders price against the same price lists and schemes the distributor bills from — recomputed on the server when the document posts, so the rep's estimate and the invoice cannot drift. Collections, van sales and shelf photos measured for share of shelf ride on the same visit. Beat design and plan-versus-actual are covered on our beat planning software page. If you only need a field app in front of a settled DMS and ERP, a focused SFA suite may suit you better.
FieldAssist
An AI-led sales and distribution suite with AI beat plans, geo-tagged check-ins and real-time stock, schemes and pricing during order booking; its integration platform automates scheme-to-claim. It has a retailer app with multiple languages and offline access, and an image recognition product. Our architectural comparison is at FieldAssist alternative.
Bizom
A route-to-market platform whose SFA captures orders, visits, collections and activities with or without signal, plans routes with AI, verifies attendance by GPS and selfie, applies schemes automatically at booking, and digitises claims. It offers image recognition, chat-based ordering tied to its SFA and DMS, and a retailer app for kirana stores.
BeatRoute
An SFA and DMS platform built around sales goals, with AI beat and route plans, GPS attendance, offline visits and orders, and schemes applied on the bill. It is unusually clear about its commercial terms: priced per user and module on annual contracts, with no free trial. AI agents take orders by phone in the retailer's local language and turn shelf photos into share-of-shelf.
Botree SFA
Field sales from Botree, whose DMS is compared in our DMS guide, with route optimisation, structured PJP planning, geo-validated visits and scheme guidance on orders, tightly integrated with Botree DMS. Its site does not state offline use for the SFA app itself, so test that directly.
PepUpSales
An SFA and DMS platform with beat planning, route optimisation, face-recognition and GPS attendance, geofencing and schemes in the order flow; claims sit in its DMS tier. It lists the broadest set of ERP and accounting integrations among the field-sales vendors here, and a retailer app with regional languages.
Ivy Mobility
A Singapore-headquartered platform combining a cloud DMS, SFA and retail execution, with offices in Chennai and Mumbai. It works online, offline or disconnected, pushes prices, schemes and promotions from the back office, and has image recognition for shelves. Its site describes e-invoicing in general terms across markets rather than Indian GST specifically.
SalesJump
An Indian SFA for the CPG sector with beat plans, geo-tagged attendance, geo-fence verification, offline order capture, van sales that apply schemes and invoice on the spot, and a DMS. It names SAP and Tally integration and offers optional on-premise deployment.
Delta Sales App
A general sales and distribution app used across several industries, from a company with offices in Kolkata and Nepal. It works offline, includes a journey planner, attendance and a DMS, and integrates with Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books and Busy. It is the only product here offering a free trial on its website, and the app is available in Hindi.
What makes FMCG field sales in India different
- Connectivity is the product. Reps in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns, rural belts and wholesale-market basements spend hours without data. Offline has to cover the whole visit — check-in, order, scheme price, collection, photo — not just a cached catalogue.
- Schemes change weekly. Slab, free-goods and combo schemes vary by distributor and territory. Whoever prices the scheme on the phone must use the rule the distributor invoices from, or the difference becomes a claim dispute — see how claims settle on our distributor claim management software page.
- The order becomes a GST document somewhere. Distributors above the ₹5 crore turnover threshold must e-invoice B2B sales, and van loads above ₹50,000 need an e-way bill. If your SFA does not invoice, find out exactly which system does — see e-invoicing and e-way bill.
- Entry-level Android phones. Field teams often carry low-cost devices with little free storage; ask for the minimum supported device and test on one.
- Many languages. Several vendors here state regional-language support, usually on the retailer app; confirm what the rep's own app supports.
The SFA is half of the route to market; the distributor's side is compared in our distributor management system software guide, and on xMatix it is the FMCG distributor management system software on the same records.
What to check before you buy
Every SFA demo shows a rep checking in at a clean outlet on a strong network. Your reps do not work there. These ten checks put each shortlisted product where your team actually works.
- Run a full beat with the network off. Check in, run the visit checklist, take an order with a running scheme, collect a payment, photograph the shelf — all in airplane mode. Then reconnect and see what syncs, in what order, and whether anything is priced differently on the server.
- Ask who prices the scheme. The slab the rep sees on the phone and the slab on the distributor's invoice must come from the same rule. If the field app has its own copy of scheme logic, the two will drift — and the claim will be disputed.
- See the beat plan generate itself. Beats should produce visit plans on a rolling window, sequenced on the road network, and planned-versus-actual should be a standard report. Our how beat planning works guide covers what good looks like.
- Check what "geo-verified" means. Is the check-in gate evaluated on the server or only on the phone? What tolerance does each outlet carry? Can a rep check in from the tea stall across the road?
- Follow the order past the order. Where does it go — the distributor's DMS, your ERP, an export? Who invoices it, and does the GST invoice carry the same lines and schemes the rep captured?
- Put collections on the visit. The rep should see the outlet's outstanding invoices before the order conversation, and a collection should allocate to specific invoices, not sit as an unapplied receipt.
- Test it on the phone your reps carry. Field teams in India often run entry-level Android devices with little free storage. Ask for the minimum supported device and try the app on one.
- Ask about the rep's language. If your reps think in Hindi, Marathi or Tamil, check what the app supports and who translates your product and scheme names.
- Price the whole thing. Per-user licences are the visible part. Add the DMS or ERP integration, implementation, device management, support, and the cost of the people who reconcile the two systems every month.
- Pilot one beat for a month. One territory, one scheme, one distributor, real orders. Measure lines per call, productive calls and the number of manual corrections.
Where xMatix fits — and where it doesn't
If your DMS and ERP are settled and the only gap is the field app, a focused SFA suite with category playbooks and a fast rollout may add less change than a platform. xMatix earns its place where the field order and the distributor's invoice keep disagreeing — schemes priced one way on the phone and another on the bill, collections that do not match outstanding, outlets that exist twice — because on xMatix the beat, the order, the invoice and the claim are one set of records. To see a rep's day run offline and reconcile, go to SFA software for FMCG.
Common questions
What is the best SFA software for FMCG in India?
There is no single best one. Shortlist on whether the app works through a whole visit offline, whether the scheme on the phone comes from the same rule as the distributor's invoice, how the order reaches a GST invoice, and what the full commercial model is — then pilot one beat for a month.
How much does sales force automation software cost in India?
None of the nine products here published a per-user price on its website on 19 October 2026. Most quote on users, modules and geography; one offers a free trial and one is clear that it has none. Ask for implementation, DMS or ERP integration and support in the same quote.
Does SFA software work offline?
Most products here state that their field app works offline, but the depth varies. Test a full visit — check-in, order with a scheme, collection and photo — in airplane mode, then reconnect and check what synced and whether anything was re-priced.
Do I need a DMS as well as SFA?
Usually yes: the SFA captures the order, the distributor management system fulfils, invoices and claims it. Several vendors sell both; the question is whether they share one set of records or are integrated. See DMS vs SFA vs CRM. (In automotive, DMS means a dealer management system — that is Auto DMS software.)
Can SFA software plan beats automatically?
Most products here describe AI or optimised beat and route planning. Ask whether plans are generated on a rolling window, sequenced on the actual road network, and compared with what reps really did — how beat planning works explains what to look for.
